Meet the Mountain Man Handy Man

Mountain Man Handy Man, not just a "handyman".

I have installed ceiling fans, garage door openers, fixed household appliances, repaired toilets, repaired & replaced faucets, installed & replaced electrical outlets, switches, and light fixtures. I have even changed a lightbulb a time or two; turns out, if done right, it actually only takes one to replace it. I have fixed computers, printers, computer networks, wi-fi setup and all things TV related as well. I am well prepared and cool under pressure. In addition to all the hands-on skills I acquired over multiple decades, I have degrees in electrical engineering, two nursing degrees, and a masters in business. I am fond of spreadsheets too, but not nearly as much as I love living in the mountains of northwest Georgia.

About Me

Like my grandfather, I feel blessed and enriched to have developed life skills as a "jack of all trades." From early on, I loved learning new things and continue that desire every day. I have real-world, practical, hands-on experience with residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work. Additionally, I am a Registered Nurse and worked at multiple hospital systems and a couple of long-term care/nursing rehabilitation facilities, including managing a Level II Trauma ICU. I can change a tire and care for a critical care patient. I worked over a decade as a professional in computer and computer network support for school systems, large corporations, and I.T. consulting companies. I have professional experience in the world of insurance, finance, estate planning, financial planning and tax preparation/planning as an insurance agent, IRS Enrolled Agent and a financial advisor, though I no longer serve others in those areas in a professional capacity.

How can I help?

I discovered that showing up with "how can I help" as a mindful approach made for the best shifts as a nurse, even on the most challenging days. Call, email or text if you think I may be of service with the things around your house that need fixing.
